Box 1:  Zingo
Directions for Zingo!
Object:  It’s Bingo with a zing!  Fill your card first with Zingo cards!
Set-Up:  Each player gets 1 playing card.  Make sure the Zingo word slider is working properly.

To Play:
The players take turns calling out the Zingo words.  The Zingo words must be read before a player can remove it.  The first person to fill their entire card wins!
Challenge:
Each player uses 2 cards!
Box 2:  Whoonu

Directions for Whoonu!
Object:  Win the most points by guessing the other player’s favorite thing!  There are no wrong answers.  It’s a great game to get to know each other better and share your likes and dislikes.
Set-Up:  Place a pile of cards and coins on the table.  Note:  the coins are each worth 1 point, even if they have something different stamped on them.

To Play:
In each round you’ll guess the other player’s favorite thingl  You’ll be choosing between two cards.  If you guess correctly, you get a coin/point.  The first person to make it to 5 coins wins. 
Round 1:
1.      The student draws 2 cards.  HE read them out loud and thinks about what the adult might like best.  He places the card down that he thinks the adult does not like.  He keeps the card in his hand that the adult might like.

Example:  Bubbles or Bananas.  He thinks the adult will like Bubbles, so he gets a coin.  If not, no coin.
2.      The adult states her favorite thing.  If the student guessed correctly, he gets a coin.  If not, no coin.
Example continued:  She says “Bubbles”.  The student gets it right!  He gets a coin.

Round 2:  Play again with the adult guessing this time.

The first person to make it to 5 coins wins!


Box 3:  Connect 4

Box 4:  Boggle
Word Family Boggle
Materials Needed:  Paper, pencil, Boggle
Object:  To create as many words as you can before the timer beeps.
Tutor note:  Prompt students for new words either by saying their definition or giving a clue.
                Word:  Pen 
Tutor says, “It starts with the p sound and rhymes with hen.”  OR “It’s something you write with.”  OR
Directions:
1.       Turn the top of Boggle to the right.  Shake letters.  Turn to left to lock in place.  Timer will begin.
2.       Student calls out words and tutor writes them down.
3.       Aim for completing 2 rounds and try to beat the number of words you made from one round to the next.  Work together!
Challenge: 
Student writes and tutor reads words.
Find only words where letters are connected.
